Webcast Summary

After remaining largely unchanged for decades, the financial close is undergoing a significant evolution from a static to a continuous process. The continuous close is especially prevalent and successful among businesses that combine applications of the latest digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence, with deep process knowledge and design thinking. By maintaining a continuous close, a finance team accelerates a business's access to forward-looking, predictive information, which the finance team can use to guide decisions and establish its role as a strategic partner with the business.

During this Webcast, Victoria Hernandez, Accounting and External Reporting Leader at Mondelēz International, and Vivek Saxena, Senior Vice President, Record to Report service line at Genpact, will share their real-life experiences streamlining the R2R process to support a continuous close. Attend this Webcast to gain insights on:

  • Current challenges and bottlenecks that finance teams are encountering with a traditional approach to the financial close
  • How digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence and robotic process automation, can make an on-demand financial close a reality
  • Why a continuous close requires that finance leaders align applications of technology with effective processes and governance
  • How to start your journey from a static to a continuous close
