About the Speakers

Bob KolodgyBob Kolodgy, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association

Bob Kolodgy is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA), and is responsible for the Blues’ Federal Employee Program (5.4 million members), National Employee Benefits Administration (assets of $11B+), and Blue Venture Partners ($550M committed capital), among other functions. He is a board member of Blue Health Intelligence (America’s broadest, deepest pool of health data), National Employee Benefits Committee (retirement and disability benefit program services), and Blue Venture Fund III (corporate health care venture fund); Board Chairman of Plan Investment Fund (a set of mutual funds exclusively for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield System); and president of Blue Venture Fund II.

Prior to joining BCBSA, Kolodgy held a number of executive positions with ProMedica Health System, Paramount Health Care, and Deloitte Consulting. He is also a founding board member of Sewhope (an Ohio-based non-profit group working to improve health in Guatemala). Mr. Kolodgy is a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma, who earned his bachelor’s degree from Miami University and his M.B.A. (magna cum laude) from the University of Notre Dame.
